Intitally limited new services will run on the existing infrastructure
As the infrastructure is upgraded their frequency will be increased
New local shuttles will be introduced between the longer distance services
Stage 1: Stopping Service - With level crossings upgraded Go-op to run Taunton-Swindon stopping services
Stage 2: Melksham Loop - A passing loop is formed on the Melksham single track section - probably at the station - to allow a much greater frequency of services
Stage 3: Shuttle Services - With existing platforms reopened at Chippenham, Westbury and Frome local shuttles will run between the longer distance services. Shuttles are less affected by delays elsewhere on the network, and can provide a much more reliable service
